Story Eclipse

Sometimes, stories surprise us. They interrupt the mundanity of our day with a sliver of something special and sacred. A window into another person's world. An opportunity to pause, breathe, and listen.

The Storytelling Project's newest initiative, the Story Eclipse, interjects stories into the everyday lives of Stanford students. A few times a quarter at the on-campus favorite On Call Cafe, folks might be lucky enough to encounter such a moment. The lights go down, the espresso maker pauses, and a story begins...then just a few minutes later, life resumes, and we are changed, ever so slightly, by the true, personal story that we now can carry with us.
